Cablevision Increases the Number of HD Channels Availbale Through Its Digital HDTV ReceiverCablevision will give now be offering customers 15 more HD channels. They want to better compete with the competition from fiber-optic and satellite television providers. Cablevision will add Nickelodeon, Discovery, FX, AMC, FOX News, and The Weather Channel to its HD offerings, which can be obtained with an HDTV or digital HD receiver. Cablevision has over 3 million cable subscribers. Over one third of those subscribers have at least one HD Digital receiver with HDTV. Customers with Cablevision will now have over 60 HD channels to choose from. The additional HD channels will be available in late July.
